Who writes The Making Table, and how

It is not the former owner of this domain, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a continuation of that earlier site or its brand.

What we inherit is the subject: hands-on making and movement activities for older adults, the English-language market, and the web addresses that readers already know. What we do not inherit is the old identity. The name, the voice, the layout, and the visual language here are all new.

Who writes this

The pages are written by a small team of activity coordinators, occupational therapists, and long-term family carers. Each activity is tested with a real person, a real table, and a real set of materials before it is published. If something does not work in practice, it does not go up.

How we work

Every page follows the same shape: the materials you need, the steps in order, and the reason the activity serves the person doing it. Sensory benefit, social value, gentle movement, a small finished object. We do not pad pages. We do not sell courses or products. We explain the thing end to end and let you decide.

Corrections

If a step is unclear, a material is wrong, or a page misrepresents the activity, tell us. We read every correction, fix what is broken, and note the change in the page history. We would rather be wrong and fixed than right and inaccessible.

Plainly stated

This is a new project. The domain was previously used by a different site under a different name and identity. We share the topic and the addresses, and nothing else. If you were looking for the former site, we are not it. If you are looking for hands-on activities for an older adult, explained from first material to finished object, you are in the right place now.
